It was a party!

We celebrated our 15th anniversary on July 12 and 13 in bright sunshine and a great atmosphere. Numerous visitors came to our company premises in Günzach to celebrate together with the whole Tempehmanufaktur team.

Culinary highlights were provided by various food trucks - including our own tempeh food truck, of course - as well as a regional traders' market, where there was plenty to try, discover and buy. Those who wanted to take a look behind the scenes could take part in guided tours of the production facilities.

Special hands-on activities, such as seasoning your own tempeh, attracted many curious guests. Musical entertainment was provided by several live bands, which underscored the exuberant atmosphere. Younger guests were also well catered for with a bouncy castle and painting table.

The all-round successful festival impressively demonstrated how deeply rooted we are in the region - and how much joy good food and community can bring.

How it all began...

We have been working with tempeh for a very long time and have always been fascinated by the fermentation process and the product.
Because there was hardly any tempeh to buy in Germany over 20 years ago, we made our own tempeh without further ado. We started at home in the kitchen, with a small pot and an incubator that we built ourselves. We can hardly believe that today it has become a family business with almost 50 employees!
